The problem

A good machine does not sell itself in East Africa

Most manufacturers who contact us have the right product. What stops them is everything around the sale, and many spend a year and a large budget learning that before the first real order arrives.

Buyers are days apart

Mining towns are spread across the region, and every meeting means intercity travel, lodging and time away.

Miners buy from people they know

An overseas website and an email address rarely win an order. Buyers want to meet someone local and see the machine explained.

Decisions are made in Kiswahili

Brochures and pitches written for other markets do not land with site owners and operators.

Months of spending before the first order

Meetings, presentations, advertising and travel all have to be paid for long before any revenue arrives.

Clearing and registration slow everything

Missing registrations and badly documented imports cause delays, penalties and charges a local team would have avoided.

No local support, no repeat orders

Without trained engineers and spare parts in the country, the first machine sold is often the last.

Market demand

What Tanzanian buyers search for

Mining equipment buyers in Tanzania search for machines, prices and gold. Bart Mining publishes the equipment guides, price tools and gold price pages they read, so your products appear where that demand already is.

Machines
Ball mills
ball mill machine · ball mill price · ball mill for sale · jaw crusher

The leading equipment searches are buyers looking for machines and prices, with crushers close behind.

Alluvial gold
Top query
alluvial gold · alluvial mining · alluvial gold mining

Alluvial gold is the leading search in its group, pointing to steady demand for wash plants, trommels and concentrators.

Gold price
+110%
gold price in tanzania · gold price today +120%

Far more Tanzanians follow the gold price than five years ago, a sign of how many people are working gold.

New mines

nyanzaga gold mine · geita gold +190%

Searches for newer projects and established goldfields are climbing as activity spreads to new areas.

FAQ

Before you apply

How do I sell mining equipment in Tanzania?

Most mining equipment in Tanzania is sold through a local presence: material in Kiswahili and English, visits to mining towns, product demonstrations, correct import registration and clearing, and engineers who can support the machine after delivery. A local partner provides that presence without you opening an office first. Bart Mining’s partnership covers all of it for a fixed USD 15,000 over six months, followed by commission only.

Do I need a local distributor to sell mining machinery in Tanzania?

You can sell directly, but most buyers want to deal with a company they can meet, that holds spare parts and that handles clearing and delivery for them. A local distributor or partner closes that gap and usually shortens the time to the first order. The registrations and approvals your particular products need are confirmed during the first phase of the partnership.

Which mining machines are in demand in Tanzania?

Google Trends data for Tanzania shows ball mills as the leading equipment search, followed by ball mill prices, ball mills for sale and jaw crushers. Alluvial gold mining is also among the most searched topics, and interest in the gold price has more than doubled in five years. Processing equipment for small and medium gold operations, from crushers and mills to wash plants and concentrators, is the strongest fit.

Do you guarantee sales?

Yes. That is why every application is screened first. We only accept products that already have customers in the region, and if we turn a product down it is because we cannot guarantee its market. Sometimes sales arrive later than the timeline on this page. When that happens we adjust the strategy, replan and launch stronger campaigns at no extra cost to you, and each monthly report shows exactly where the sales stand.

Why does the partnership take at least three months to set up?

The first three months build what sales depend on. Product pages and Kiswahili material must be prepared, import and registration steps confirmed, landed prices agreed and the first introductions made to miners and supplier associations. Advertising before those foundations are ready usually produces enquiries that cannot be converted into orders.

Are advertising and travel charged separately?

No. The fixed USD 15,000 fee for the first six months already includes five months of advertising, TAMISA membership and twelve intercity trips for meetings and product presentations. Advertising results are reported from the platforms each month. From month six there is no fixed fee, and we are paid a commission on each deal we facilitate. Only the duties, freight and clearing charges for each shipment of goods are quoted separately, because they depend on the actual consignment.

Do you help with taxes and government requirements?

We help you understand and complete the registration, import documentation and product approvals that apply to your goods, and we deal with the relevant offices through an established local company. The aim is to pay what is lawfully due, on time and with correct documents, which avoids the penalties and disputed assessments that often affect unrepresented foreign suppliers. We do not arrange informal payments.

Will you list or promote our products without the partnership?

No. Listing products in our catalogue, advertising them, presenting them to miners and following up buyers all take real time and money, so we offer them only within the partnership. The six-month package costs a fixed USD 15,000, and after that we work on commission. If you would like to judge the fit first, send your product details and we will give an initial view of the market before you sign.

Which companies are a good fit?

The partnership suits manufacturers and distributors with a product that East African miners already need, the ability to supply stock within a predictable lead time, and a willingness to price for the local market and support warranty and spare parts. It also requires a decision-maker who can respond quickly during the first year.
